@toshiashaw A labyrinth is an ancient symbol that relates to wholeness. It combines the imagery of the circle and the spiral into a meandering but purposeful path. The Labyrinth represents a journey to our own heart center and back again out into the world. Labyrinths have long been used as meditation and prayer tools.
Yesterday, I walked the labyrinth and ended in prayer.
The Grotto was so peaceful and beautiful. Every step offered a glimpse into Jesus Christ life and his mother Mary. The monastary sat perfectly on the lawn, whilst the meditation building hovered over a cliff overlooking Portland. Walking this land with my sister @esther_brown_inspire was a plus because I got a chance to not only experience this holy land with her but discuss what was coming up for me whilst doing so.
Spirituality is a lone walk, but a joint, and group effort when you choose too. You should choose too. I have a few sanghas…a close and personal one, a group one whilst studying as a Deshi, and an online one with my beautiful students.
Walk alone on the labyrinth then walk outward to join your sangha.
